About Books and Iced Coffee

Books and Iced Coffee was created on January 2013. I have always been in love with the blogging community and had always wanted to start a blog of my own. I has originally planned to start a fashion blog but I came upon an awesome book blog and since I happen to be more of an avid reader than a fashionista, I created BIC! This is definitely an experience that I am looking forward to and I hope with your never ending support, BIC would be here to stay.

About Me

I’m Elyssa. I’m a twenty- three year old college grad. I”m currently located at the beautiful island of Guam with my parents, brother, sister and a adorable baby girl. You can definitely add me to the list of book bloggers who aspire to be an author (as a second career, for me at least). To test such waters, I decided to try out fan fiction writing for one of my favorite young adult series of all time, Harry Potter. YES WORLD, I have written several HP fan fictions and I’m hoping to may have them posted here. I’m not the type to really force a book upon someone, unless it’s really, REALLY good. However, I am one to share my insights on books that I’ve read and to recommend such excellent reads, when asked.

Some Random Facts

My favorite series of all time is the Harry Potter series.
I love, love, love “stocking up” on books before actually sitting down to read them all.
I am a fan of the Twilight book series! I enjoyed reading every word of that series and despite what others have said about it since the movie series, I remain unchanged.
I love movies, just as much as I love reading books. What are my favorites? There’s too much to mention, my friend.
I listen to various music genres but my iPad is constantly playing Nickelback, Mariana’s Trench, Creed and Justin Timberlake.
